This variety of rose quartz is graded as "AA" for containing a great medium-dark pink color, high crystal transparency, and few to small amounts of surface mineral deposits. Rose quartz from Madagascar features a deep pink color sometimes mixed with shades of lilac. Occasional white quartz streaks and small amounts of naturally occurring iron oxide deposits can be present.
