Finding high quality rhodochrosite has become exceptionally challenging and production is mostly limited to Argentina. The stones often have a high level of variation, although they still contain very impressive characteristics. The color ranges from a light pink to dark red. Some pieces may be heavily included with pyrite, while it is absent in others. These are completely natural rhodochrosite stones that have never been color enhanced or coated with artificial sealers or resins. With that in mind some pieces may have minor fracture lines and crevices in areas that couldn’t get polished.
